Trump Warns Netanyahu Against Renewed Military Confrontation with Iran
According to reports, Trump recalled telling Netanyahu during a phone conversation: "I said, 'Bibi, you better be careful, or you will be on your own very soon'."
Sources familiar with the discussion, along with US officials, said the latest exchange between the two leaders was significantly less tense than a previous conversation in which Trump reportedly referred to Netanyahu as "f****** crazy."
The reported warning came as Netanyahu reiterated on Monday that Israel would respond with a “much harsher” reaction to any future attack originating from Iran following a recent period of heightened tensions between the two countries.
Meanwhile, regional tensions increased on Sunday after Israel carried out an airstrike in Beirut.
Israeli authorities said the operation targeted a Hezbollah command and planning facility in the Lebanese capital.
